Artful Breakfasts

Flowers at BCACTagging along with neighbors, my husband and I enjoyed our first Bay City Arts Center Every-Third-Sunday-Morning Pancake Breakfast this week. Really great food. Eggs cooked fresh to order. Vegetarian fare too. This week breakfast was served by “The Green Team”, a local after-school club (the kids were great). The walls were covered with extraordinary artwork created by Tillamook High School students (the current exhibit). Here’s the menu from memory (but not a list of my own meal!)

  • Eggs cooked to order
  • Buckwheat and Buttermilk Pancakes
  • French Toast
  • Sausages (Pork and Vegetarian)
  • Bean & salsa
  • Fruit Compote
  • Yogurt
  • Hot Coffee, Tea, & Orange Juice

$5.00 donation for non-members, $4.00 donation for members. It was nice to see entire families turn out, then wander through the current exhibits. If you have not been before, the Bay City Arts Center is named after its city home, is located in a vintage Masonic Temple, but is the heart of our county’s artist community which reaches out to all. Visit their web site to check out the very full calendar of events.
