This Old Dog Learns New Tricks: Mercury on YouTube

This has been a big week for local goings-on. Taped Mercury, visited Helen and Charlie’s exhibit opening, joined a great discussion on immigration issues and upcoming related ballot measures and attending the Netarts Oceanside Sanitary District Citizen’s Advisory Committee meeting. I don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings by telling you which was the most fun, and which was the most contentious, but I was glad to miss none of them.

Today the most fun I had was posting Eric and Molly Sappington’s “ Do It All Over Again” on YouTube. Hearing them live or getting your hands on their new CD when released next month (more on that later) is the best, but sharing a glimpse of their music and exquisite harmonies to far-flung corners of the universe is something worth sharing.  As with many independent artists (“Indies”), the joy is in the creating and sharing.
