Fix Our Roads

Something you would likely guess correctly if you live or work in Tillamook County, and it’s now official: we have the worst roads in the state. Funding comes almost entirely from federal sources, state gas tax, and vehicle registration fees. No property taxes are levied for roads in Tillamook County. The county is losing 43% of its funding due to the elimination of the Federal Safety Net.

How are the roads in your corner of the county? The Oceanside Village Voice thinks this is an important issue and urges you to learn more. To that end, I’ve added a new “Fix our Roads” page to support this new campaign.
