Green Crow Application Status

Tillamook County Coastal Planner & liaison to the Oceanside Neighborhood Association Lisa Phipps reported at this morning’s ONA’s monthly meeting that no additional documents had been received to complete Green Crow’s application for mineral overlay zone change and expansion of its existing quarries near neighboring communities Netarts, Oceanside and Cape Meares. This leaves the tentative May 12 Tillamook County Planning Commission Hearing in pencil for the Washington corporation. Lisa indicated that more would be known next week.

Also reported at the meeting; ONA Green Crow Quarry Subcommittee chair Steve Macartney reported that group continues to study issues related to the potential opening of the “200 Line” Quarry above Oceanside as well as impacts from expanding other sites. The subcommittee will consider updating their recommendations to the ONA body once the completed Green Crow application is received and reviewed.
