The Saturday, March 3rd meeting of the Oceanside Neighborhood Association will include, along with its usual business, a status report on the Green Crow Quarry Expansion application. The report, provided at the request of the ONA chair Judson Randall, will be provided by the subcommittee created to study and recommend a position on the application. The meeting will be held at 9 to 11 a.m. at the Oceanside Community Center on Pacific Avenue.
Another important project slated for the March 3 agenda which has captured the attention of the ONA membership is the Netarts-Oceanside Sanitary District (NOSD) project and the planned relocation of the treatment plant. The relocation includes the possible acquisition and rezoning of Green Crow acreage (unrelated to their proposed “200 line” commercial mine). Board member Shannon Brosseau has agreed to attend and answer a long list of questions which, one could argue could have best been asked before the funding was approved for the upgrades, but is timely and important none-the-less. Thanks Shannon for following through on the commitment.
If you’re interested in more information on the ONA meeting you can contact Jud Randall. If you’re interested in more information on the adopted subcommittee recommendations you can find them here, or you can contact the subcommittee chair Steve Macartney.
